Let's start off by defining what “alignment” is in the hippy-dippy woo-woo world.
According to leftbrainedhippie.com
“Alignment” is the state where you’re vibrating at the same frequency as your Inner Being or your Source energy.”
For people who don’t love that flowery language living in alignment means you are doing things and acting in a way that makes you feel good, that makes you feel whole, you are in line with your big “why” in life.
I thought it would be fun to share a monthly alignment list, a list of 5 things that I am aligning with. Now there is a good chance that my list is always coffee, husband, yoga, bunnies, +1 extra thing. But who knows, things could change each month, I don’t have a crystal ball.
Without further ado here is my monthly alignment for August!
1. Coffee on my porch
I have been loving taking my morning coffee out onto my front porch and enjoying it outside. There is something so calming about sitting in nature and waking up slowly that starts the day out on the perfect foot.
2. Bike rides
Every year I forget how much I love riding my bike. My husband pointed out that every time we go on a bike ride I smile the entire time. Any chance I get I have been riding my bike instead of driving. Alignment + doing good for the environment!
3. Athletic yoga classes
I have been truly grateful for the time to develop a really committed yoga practice this summer. I am able to attend the class of my choice M-F and it has been such a joy. 2 days of the week I participate in a particularly athletic yoga class and it has been a great addition to my flexibility-based classes.
4. Law of attraction books
I have been loving learning about law of attraction. I had heard a lot about it in podcasts and blogs I follow but I never really wrapped my head around it until I picked up “Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don’t” by Michael Losier. Holy cow! This workshop-style book was like the key in the lock for me if you are wanting to learn more about this topic I HIGHLY recommend this book!
If you didn’t know I have an Etsy shop where I sell digital download art prints and other hand-lettered goods! I have an art fair coming up soon where I will have a booth and decided to add some really cool (in my humble opinion) hand-painted denim jackets. I did not anticipate how much I would enjoy creating these jackets but it has been really great to flex my creative muscles!
